The tree that ate Lincoln Park
An ordinary Friday morning on W. Michigan St. was enlivened today by the stately progress of a very large spruce tree and its escort by police and Minnesota Power trucks. It’s not the Capitol Christmas Tree, cut from the Chippewa National Forest and provided by the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe–that tree is in St. Paul by now. If anyone has more information about where this beauty is going to end up, drop us a line in the comments!
UPDATE: Looks like it’s heading to Minnesota Power Plaza downtown.
