Who We Serve

Our focus area is all children currently enrolled in school in the Twin Ports, with a special focus on Lincoln Park Middle School, Denfeld High School, and Piedmont Elementary School. We hope to close the achievement gap among students of color and to give all students regardless of race, socioeconomic status, or background the ability to participate in theater classes, social justice cafés, and drama productions. We work on graduation advancement by providing both one-on-one help to students who are struggling in the school system, plus after-school homework assistance and summer enrichment programs in education.

Our focus is not just on the children but on the entire family. We will offer GED prep courses for adults, ACT help for college entrance, a full computer lab with computer training in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook.

We currently serve 50-75 low-income families. No children or families are excluded from participating in programs that the WCC provides.
