Head up the hill tomorrow (Tuesday, September 23) to check out a great event at Myers-Wilkins Elementary School!
Come find out what a community school is all about and locate great resources in our area. The Duluth Community Family Resource Fair will feature over 30 presenters that provide a wide variety of support to families in our community in areas such as health, housing, education, financial and employment coaching, and youth development.
- Mini-classes on a variety of topics
- Child care for parents attending the classes
- Activities for all ages
- Healthy snacks and beverages
Community schools such as Myers-Wilkins aim to reach out to entire families and connect them to the resources that they need for their kids to get the most out of their education. Enrichment programs, tutoring and mentoring, and cultural events are just some of what they do.
To find contact information for the event, head over to the calendar entry. To learn more about what Myers-Wilkins does as a community school, check out the school’s website and the Myers-Wilkins Community School Collaborative website.
